Inconvenient Youth is an initiative of The Alliance for Climate Protection's Climate Project. The Alliance for Climate Protection (alternatively, the "Alliance," "We," "Us," "Our") is very sensitive to online privacy concerns. This online privacy statement describes how we treat all user data collected during your visit to the Inconvenient Youth website (the "Site"). Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. As Inconvenient Youth is a community of teenagers taking action to address the climate crisis, Inconvenient Youth staff may segment audiences into relevant groupings in order to provide action alerts by email or SMS text. On such occasions, you will have the opportunity to opt in to those communications and easily opt out at any time.

We do not share the information you've given us with unaffiliated groups withour your explicit persmission. We may share some of your personal information with the following affiliated groups:

  • Affiliated Third Parties - for example, our database administrators (for the sole purpose of helping us do our work) or affiliated capmaigns, which share our mission and privacy concerns.
  • Third Party Administrators, such as organizations we engage to facilitate large distribution of messages.
We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with sponsors and corporate partners. For example, we may tell a sponsor that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our Site, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.
